SERVICES

Bathymetric and Ecosystem Surveys

SUS conducts underwater visual inspections and surveys, in marine or fresh water environments such as: The Seabed, Jetties, Quay-sides, Inside & Outside Pipelines, Moorings, Ship & Yacht Hulls, Dam Walls, Industrial Water Tanks and more. Our system can also be used as a valuable part of Search & Rescue Operations, and is very useful in Surveys of Artificial Reefs, Fish Farms and Oceanariums.

In the past, Deep Sea Divers were used at great expense to their clients, for their services carrying out all of the above mentioned Underwater Surveys and Inspections. These methods took many man-hours, were risky and cost the client a small fortune.

At SUS, we use a new concept that revolutionises Underwater Services. Our Underwater Remote Visual Inspections and Surveys are carried out using the very latest High Tech Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).

As a retired Commercial Deep Sea Diver and having worked in the Indian Ocean Islands, Africa and the UK, Bob Latimer combines his expertise in this field with the technology of the AC-ROV, to carry out the same inspections he used to do as a diver, but cutting down the time & cost by half and without any risk.

When required, the ROV can be equipped with the following:

* A two function 3 Grip and continuous two way rotation unit for lifting small objects.
* Sonar Scanning Equipment – Imaging Type, Fan Beam, Fluid Compensated Transducer.
* A Thickness Gauge with Laser Scaling for metal thickness.
* A 4 way Roller System, that converts the ROV into a 4 wheeled vehicle for inside pipeline and ship hull surveys and inspections.
* A real time Global Positioning System.
* Live and recorded High Definition Video and Photo Camera for seabed survey showing depth, date and temperature.

The ROV is designed to work in most sea and fresh water conditions, day or night, in low visibility and in any open or confined spaces.

SUS can also supply a workboat and qualified divers should the need arise.
